From the recording Waterside
This song is about a mother whose young child drowned in a tragic accident at the beach. Many months later, stricken with guilt and struggling to cope she somehow finds the courage to return to the beach. Vocals come from the beautiful voice of Gina Ellen.
The photography for the cover art was taken in Scotland by amazing Scottish photographer Mairi Grant Photography.
Lyrics
High up in the clouds
Painted by a coastal breeze
I swear I saw your face
Or was it just a memory
You were smiling with your eyes
Smiling down from you to me
Softening my pain
I sitting by the waterside
I can't forgive myself
The unrelenting sea
I'm reaching out for you
Please darling, forgive me
You were smiling with your eyes
Smiling down from you to me
Softening my pain
I sitting by the waterside
And can you see me now
I'm struggling to cope
Trying get through everyday
since we lost you by the waterside
You were smiling with your eyes
Smiling down from you to me
Softening my pain
I'm sitting by the waterside
Sitting by the waterside
I'm sitting by the waterside
